Car Crash News- Hurricane Season Begins
Police in Port Saint Lucie reports that a 17-year-old bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle Friday morning has died from his injuries. Officers responded to the incident at the intersection of Southeast Triumph Road and Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway at 5:51 a.m. Investigators said the bicyclist was traveling westbound on Southeast Triumph Road and struck in the intersection by a Ford Bronco traveling northbound on Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway. The teen was transported to the hospital in critical condition. His death was announced by police on Saturday. Police report that the 59-year-old driver of the Bronco was on his way to work and was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
CAR COLLISION LEFT ONE DEAD AND MULTIPLE INJURED
Earlier this week around 6:30 a.m. on Orange Avenue and Minute Maid Road, about 10 miles west of the Florida Turnpike. A car and multi-passenger van collided. The Florida Highway Patrol said first responders found a man dead inside a badly damaged grey Toyota. Investigators believe he hit the white Ford van head-on, however, investigators don’t know why the accident occurred. The Ford van was carrying 12 migrant farm workers. The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition. All of the other passengers were transported to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious.
FORT PIERCE MAN DIES IN MIDWAY ROAD CRASH
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an unidentified 28-year-old Fort Pierce Man was driving eastbound on Midway Road at 9:17 a.m. approaching the intersection of Indian River Drive.
The driver failed to make a complete stop at the stop Sogn and continued across the cliff into the Intracoastal waterway.
The vehicle came to a final stop on its roof. The man died as a result of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
WOMAN KILLED AFTER HITTING TWO HOUSES IN DELRAY BEACH
In Delray Beach, an 81-year-old woman was killed in Delray Beach after crashing into two houses earlier this week. The victim was parked in her own garage when she accidentally drove forward and hit the wall of her own home. She then put her car in reverse and struck a utility pole and another house. She was reported dead at the scene by First Responders.
MANURE TRUCK FLIPS OVER ON EASTBOUND 45TH STREET
Traffic was delayed in West Palm Beach on Tuesday night after a tractor-trailer flipped over on eastbound 45th street according to West Palm Beach Police Department. Police said a manure truck overturned on the eastbound lanes of 45th street at Jog Road. The 37-year-old driver in the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken by paramedics to St. Mary’s Medical Center as a precaution. A cleaning crew made it to the scene to clean up the road. Motorists were asked to use an alternate route.
